5 Positivie affirmations to fill your day with positivity

5 positive affirmations to start the day   Dear Storytime readers welcome back.  This article is about 5 positive affirmations to fill your day with positivity.  When I start my day I sometimes feel overwhelmed when things rapidly get out of control. And that's an awful feeling to have. I often found myself in positions where I got everything done for everyone, but myself. Or where my focus had gotten taken away from the things that had to get done for the day. Wasted days had sometimes put me in situations where I had gotten a good beating from life or they had put me down in a dump because at the end of the day I had gotten nothing done for myself. That is something that can be very demotivating, so I realized that I had to change something in my life. I had to take control over my life because if I want to be happy, I had to choose what's best for myself as well. Now, these my friends are some next-level self-care practicing habits.  Once reality hits

Owos Suriname

Storytime: Visiting Owos resort in Suriname Hello Storytime readers, as you know I always love adventures. Even though I haven't posted all of them yet.  Sometimes I have good adventures, sometimes I have bad adventures. Sometimes I have happy ones and sometimes I have sad ones.  Either way, the adrenaline of exploration is a definite reminder that I am living life. That is really all I am trying to do. I am trying to live my life in the best way possible.  The hunger I am trying to satisfy is after all within.  This time I went on a short adventure that isn't too far from the city, Lelydorp, or the airport. If you don't know what to do when you are in Suriname, just hit the subscribe button and jump into the storytime spaceship as we head out and explore the rest of the world.  For me, it's certainly an opportunity to share my adventures through writing. Trust me you are only getting into a small part of it.  But that is for you to find out as time passes

Visiting the most popular Chinese food restaurant in Lelydorp

Visiting Lucky Garden the most popular Chinese food restaurant in Lelydorp Hello Storytime readers from around the world, if you ever happen to find yourself in Suriname you will notice a lot of restaurants that sell Chinese food.  Our country's history with China goes back a couple of centuries.  In 1858 the first Chinese Immigrants came to Suriname to work on plantations as contractors.  The country's diverse history not only created a multiethnic culture but also a diverse culinary table. Surinamese people love food and we certainly don't mind sharing our food in the centuries that we have lived together.  From the moment that you leave the Johan Adolf Pengel Airport, you will notice Chinese restaurants all around.  Today I decided to share with you my visit to a famous Surinamese Chinese restaurant close to Lelydorp. It is called Lucky Garden and it's located on the Indira Gandhi weg number 394 You have to be lucky to not find yourself w

Chapter 29

Chapter 29 Hello, Storytime readers from around the world.  A few days ago it was my birthday. I just turned 29 years old on the 29th of October.  We millennials are getting older faster than I would like to admit. Lol I know I always make remarks like that every year I am getting older and people would always be like but you are so young! In my case, it always feels like my heart is young and my soul is old. Either way, I cannot say that I haven't come a long way. In the last 10 years that I had this blog, I never thought I would come this far. As a matter of fact, I never thought I would be in the position I am in now.  That goes for the good and the bad moments. I hope a lot of you can relate to that. Because I have also come to understand that this is a part of life.  We just have to learn to see the good in even the less pleasurable experiences. Growth means you have to be able to push yourself through the dirt.  That's how you ma
