 Story Time: Valentine's day at Tulip Supermarket in Paramaribo Hello, my dearest Story Time friends from around the world. How are you? It was Valentine's recently, and I wanted to share my experience at Tulip Supermarket in Paramaribo. If you find yourself traveling through Paramaribo, try to visit Tulip Supermarket. They are a popular and good assorted supermarket in Suriname. Especially if you are looking for foreign imported products. I love their chocolate, cookie, and Ice cream collection. For Valentine's day, they had a deal where you could buy a box of doughnuts for about $4,-. I love doughnuts! That's why I made it my mission to get my hands on a box of these Strawberry and Caramel doughnuts. While we were in Tulip I noticed they also had the Chupa Chup strawberries and cream soda.  Story Time: Night out at KFC and McDonald's before the gas prices went up in Suriname Hello my dearest Story Time friends from around the world how have you been? As I am writing to you now, the situation in my home country Suriname is very chaotic. Mostly I avoid writing about politics on my blog. Except for maybe the old posts that I got rid of. But those were only talking about my personal experiences and adventures in the political field in this South American country. But what has happened in the last couple of days has been very shocking to the Surinamese people.  The political party that I am a part of the National Party Suriname decided to step out of government and held a press conference about that. A couple of days later protests were held that were planned and organized in advance. Unfortunately, these protests went out of hand. This tropical country should be on every foodie's bucket list.  Located in South America and a part of the Caribbean you can find many dishes from around the world in Suriname. I saw the ad that Tangelo was having a breakfast Etagere event. I never experienced a breakfast Etagere on my tastebuds before. I contacted them to make reservations, but my app never seemed to have arrived. 😪That's why I gave them a call early in the morning.
