Shadows Of Love

Fruit Stop At Highway Street Stall

Fruit Stop At Highway Street Stall Hello friends, I'm writing to you again from the tropics. Despite being sick, and having severe back problems I still crawled behind my laptop to finish this Story. I guess whenever I get to create a Story Time episode, it makes me feel better. This blog has become a creative outlet for me. Gasp, takes in a deep breath and remembers how this blog started. Writing and creating makes me feel good! Even when the world around me has me stressed out. I've been sick so often, that my body is just screaming how much I need a break. When I say that, I don't mean just a time out! I'm talking about creating enough peace in my life and eleminating things that aren't good for my mental and physical well-being.😤I've been sick so many times, that working on these things have become a priority for the year. Life is showing me the hard way, that I've been there for everyone but myself. 😪That's a people-pleasing habit that never pa

Story Time With Rabinder Bholasing And Dosti Musicians

Story Time With Rabinder Bholasing And Dosti Musicians Hello friends, it's time for another Story Time episode! I'm happy to finally share this article with you guys. The intention was to finish this episode last year. But the file for my vlog was so big that it took me weeks to upload. Telesur has a lot of work to do to upgrade their internet connection. It isn't the first nor last time I will complain on my blog about how bad the upload speed of Suriname's national internet provider is. But that's not what this episode is about. The guests on my blog for this Story Time episode are Rabinder Bholasingh and his band Dosti Musicians. Rabinder Bholasingh is a Surinamese musician who has made a name for himself. He was born into a musical family. From the age of 4 years old, he began singing and performing in the band of his family. His great-grandfather, grandfather, and father were also musicians. The talent and love for music got passed down from generation to ge

Breakfast At Rock Oil Magenta

Breakfast At Rock Oil Magenta Welcome back Story Time friends! Today our Story Time U.F.O. is landing in the district Wanica. Gas station food isn't an unknown concept in the world. In Suriname, we have our own popular gas station food hot spots. Because of our small population, ours aren't as big compared to the ones you can find abroad. One of the popular gas stations to get food and snacks in Suriname is Rock Oil. They have a service station located in the Magentakanaalweg. Just as is the case at other Rock Oil service stations, this one also sells food. In the vlog I made I am taking you guys along for breakfast. This Rock Oil doesn't have as many options as the one in the city. But you can still order burgers, fried food, bread, and pasta from their menu. I ordered a shrimp sandwich with a cappuccino. Stew got himself bread with shredded chicken and a cup of French Vanilla bean coffee. They also sell different kinds of oils for your car engine. Outside of the Servic

Restaurant Escape In Paramaribo

Restaurant Escape In Paramaribo Hello Story Time friends! How have you guys been? I'm happy to be back with another foodie adventure! This time we're visiting my friends from restaurant Escape in Paramaribo. This is one of the episodes that I wanted to post earlier. But as I mentioned before on my blog, the internet connection in Suriname isn't the best. Telesur has a lot of improvement to do in that area. Have you ever tried uploading videos that are GB large on a connection with an upload speed of less than 1 MB? After all the hard work I've put into Story Time Productions, I'm grateful that Escape Bar & Lounge provided me with a venue to do my Story Time Productions interview with Dosti Musicians and the famous Surinamese musician Rabinder Bholasing. We got spoiled with delicious food and because they had nothing to hide, they even allowed my filming crew a peek in the kitchen. Escape's restaurant is located on the corner of Dr. Sophie Redmond Street a

Quick Stop At The Coffee Box Restaurant In Paramaribo Noord

Quick Stop At The Coffee Box In Paramaribo Noord Hello friends, how are you? I'm happy to have you dive into another Story Time episode. This time our U.F.O. lands at The Coffee Box in Paramaribo Noord. Not long ago this second location was opened. I'll add the links to the Story Time episodes at the first location for you guys at the end of this post. This restaurant is located in the Wilhelmina street. Wilhelminastraat is one of the popular streets in Suriname. Most of the popular restaurants and stores are located in this Northern part of Paramaribo. We went for a quick visit and I have to admit that I loved the aesthetics and decorations. We went by for a quick stop. The place was crowded and brightly lit. The Cofee Box is not only popular for their beverages but also their food. I got a Dark Rum Chocolate that I found delicious and my friend ordered the Bailey's Mudslide. Stew ordered the Jack Daniels and Coke. Because they were about to close we had our drinks to go.

Family Day At Taman Indah Resort In Suriname

Family Day At Taman Indah Resort In Suriname We're making a rough landing into 2024. But that doesn't stop me from sending out signals into the universe. This time our Story Time U.F.O. is sending its broadcast waves from Taman Indah resort. Would that explain the alien audio of my voiceover?😂Only if I can get away with it!👽👾🛸 Somehow my recordings came out messy as my professional microphone suddenly didn't want to connect to my laptop. I had to do this episode's voice-over with my headphones just to stop stalling the launch of this story. Hopefully, that's some technical thing I can get sorted out soon. I do all of the technical stuff on Story Time alone. But sometimes my friends do help me with filming and editing small parts. We revisited Taman Indah Resort for a fun day out with family and friends. This is a Story Time episode that took place last year. I basically got so tired of not having the time to post all of my stories that I stepped up my boundar

Greta And Humbert

Greta And Humbert It was the beginning of the new year in Spooky Town. All the mystical beings that inhabited this hidden part of the world were still hung over from last year's party. But for Greta and Humbert, the party had only started. The two lovers had eloped from their previous home and moved to Spooky Town. From where they were from, it was unthinkable for a vampire to date a shapeshifting zombie. But that didn't stop these two from falling in love. It all started when they signed up for a scare class. Greta wanted to go out into the world and scare the life out of humans for a living. A dream that she had in common with Humbert, but for different reasons. Humbert his mother and his father were murdered by humans in a Transylvanian castle. If it wasn't for his uncle Count Cecelius, he wouldn't have made it out alive. His mother had told him to hide in the dungeon. Back then he was just a child. His uncle found him in the dungeon and they made a quick escape. W

Leaving You

Leaving You You always said that I never loved you. After all the things that you did, I'm not surprised that the statement became true. Somehow you're the first person to trigger hate within me. Believe it or not, that's an emotion that's fairly new for me. I was used to disappointment and braved through it with pride on my face when I found out my ex cheated. I thought that from there on, I'd have every sorrow and worry defeated. I walked away with grace until he tried to invade my space. But even from that table, I walked away without hate. Leaving behind my wallet, business cards, and everything that I built I walked away with the bill. When you're a creator, challenges don't shake your foundations. I knew that none of those things were worthy enough to fit inside the big hole in my heart that I had to fill. So I distracted myself and got lost in building new creations. Drowning in my misery, I refused to look for something or someone to replace the e

Christmas Fair At Onafhankelijkheidsplein In Paramaribo

Christmas Fair At Onafhankelijkheidsplein In Paramaribo Hello Story Time friends, it's my pleasure to be writing to you again from warm tropical Suriname. In the new year, I visited the Christmas Fair at Onafhankelijkheidsplein which was still going on. Onafhankelijkheidsplein means independence square. In the heart of Paramaribo, right across the Presidential Palace, you'll find our Surinamese Independence Square. Each year a Christmas tree is placed on the Onafhankelijkheidsplein to spread the holiday cheer. This year they went all out with the Christmas Decorations! When I drove by the new year barely started. But that didn't stop the crowds from gathering. I was no different and had to get a few shots to share with you guys. I asked someone else to take pictures for me but none of them came out well . 👀😓😂 They do say that not everyone has the eye for it. Once I took out my Nikon D3300 people probably thought that I was a photographer working there.😅😂 That happen

Out With 2023 And In With 2024

Out With 2023 And In With 2024! s Hello friends, here in warm tropical Suriname we're counting down the last hour before 2024 starts. After all my experiences for 2023, I'm glad to be closing this year. I had a difficult year, but through it all, I still flourished. After all a cactus flower in the desert will flourish no matter how dry it gets. In this blogger note, I want to take the time to shout out to my readers and viewers. You guys have inspired me to keep creating and sharing amazing stories. In 2024, you can expect many more episodes. First of all, I want to thank my book readers. You guys have inspired me on my writing journey. As I continue to grow I look forward to writing many more thrilling books for you guys. I always loved writing! From a young age, I picked up the talent and kept developing my craft. But I had no idea that people from around the world would be reading books from a Surinamese writer. In my country, they say you can't do a lot with writing. R
