Beni's Christmas Palace In Suriname

Beni's Christmas Palace In Suriname Just like in the photo above this text, I am okay but I am not completely okay. I feel awful on the inside and for a long time it was difficult to find the motivation to return to blogging.  Tomorrow's Christmas, so I mustered all of my strength to at least finish another episode. I've been gone for a while because as usual, life got hectic. But this time in a bad way! As you guys know a while ago I started a company in Suriname. Most of my days were spent creating Story Time episodes, working, doing social work or going along to get a taste of the field.  When we go to clients, sometimes I get to see awesome places. Or in between on our journeys we tend to make pitstops. This Story Time episode is supposed to be about my visit to Beni's Christmas palace. But let me tell you about what happened after that first. Just so you can understand how my Christmas spirit, transformed in the energy of mourning. People see the good, but I'l...

Welcome to Story Time!

                 Welcome to Story Time!

📫📬📭📧📪Hello my dearest Story Time friend, 😉yes I am talking to you! Welcome, I am so glad that you have found your way to the Story Time headquarters. It doesn't matter how you got here, what is important is that you found me. Pheww, I hope that wasn't quite a challenge.  But I like to believe that one way or another life brought you to me just when the universe deemed it necessary. Let me be polite first and introduce myself! In my country Suriname, I am known as Sharona Lieuw-On but as a writer, I love using the name Shachem Lieuw. I like it, that's like my secret pen name for when I exchange these letters 📧with you. I'll tell you something, a name or the reputation that society attaches to it doesn't matter a lot. I say that because nobody can know your entire story, a story always has different angles. Instead of sharing achievements or compliments or any of that stuff that people mostly put in these things I want to show you a glimpse of the raw version of me. I am humble, and down to earth for my creative soul acknowledges that one day I too will become one again with the earth.🌎  For one reason or another, I was born with a very caring heart or it could be a reaction to childhood trauma. It is what it is, at least I am a very aware individual. I am open to learning, healing, and growing. The way that journey has evolved for me, you wouldn't believe me even if I told you! So I like to escape to a world where people believe in the impossible and that is in my writing. I loved creating stories ever since I could write my first sentences. Being born in the only dutch speaking country in South America people don't really take writing as a serious thing. That didn't take my love away for creating a good story. It's only a pity I lost so many stories✍ throughout time. All those stories I could have shared with the world. But no worries, creativity has no limitations! On this blog, there are many fun stories that I have shared and will be sharing with you. Back then the internet looked pretty different. Hey, I am a millennial that's winging it while I am figuring out this adulting thing. I love showing my human side, meaning my imperfections. I try, and I try and I try and I don't mind if I fail 1000 times I know that in the end, that's the sacrifice the student has to pay to master any skill. Oops, that Asian blood in my mixed body is speaking to me! 13 years ago I started this blog not thinking much of it. I actually used it as a place to save my embarrassing " inner gothic chick" poems. I thought nobody would read it once I hit the post button. Every 6 months or so I would add another poem. Then I forgot all about my blog until a couple of months later I got a mail letting me know that I had viewers and comments. Ever since then man my blog has been a wild journey. I learned a lot, I found out a lot, and I also discovered that indeed not everything that you read on the internet is true. But if I never tried, I wouldn't have made it so far. From the different themes and templates I tried out, I was trying to find my identity in the stories that I wanted to share here. Ultimately this has become the result, this is my Story Time blog where I can decide what stories to tell and what direction my stories go into. There is no limit to plot twists. I just wanted a place where that inner writer living in me could be safe to create. I learned a lot and I am so open about this experience because I want people to learn from my experience as well. Don't worry I am not going to be one of those people who will talk on and on about blogging while trying to sell you on blogging 😆😏. I think it's a fun process and I enjoy it. With anything you do in life, I recommend that you put your heart into it. Watering the flowers might take time, but once they bloom it's worth it. That's how I can tell these affirmations are paying off. Now I can finally say that Story Time is where I feel at home, I hope you feel at home here too. How it will develop, what's next, and the possibilities now those are the things that keep the story interesting! On my blog, I like to write about travel🛫🧳🏖🥥🌴🎄🎋, some of the social work I do🎒😎, entertainment🎤🎸🦮,🏅sports🏉🏈👣, and food😋🍲🥘🥫🧉🍹🍷. In some cases, you might notice that I invite some guests to my blog. They share their stories to help inspire you!👀 You can pick which category interests you in the labels section of my site's menu. You might even find a couple of fun videos hidden in my stories.📹📸📷🎥📹📼 💪 It's nice to meet you, and I hope we can have many fun adventures together in the future. Don't forget to subscribe when you see that Story Time U.F.O. pop-up 👽👾
