Story Time:
Breakfast Etagere at Tangelo in Paramaribo

Hello, my dearest Story Time friends from around the world, I am sending you nothing but positive vibes as I am writing this post. For today's Story Time adventure, I am taking you along to breakfast at Tangelo in Paramaribo. In the beautiful country of Suriname, there are many delicious food options to be found. This tropical country should be on every foodie's bucket list. Located in South America and part of the Caribbean, Suriname offers a diverse culinary landscape featuring dishes from around the world. I saw the ad that Tangelo was having a breakfast Etagere event. I never experienced a breakfast Etagere on my tastebuds before. I contacted them to make reservations, but my app never seemed to arrive. 😪That's why I called them early in the morning. This time, I had a more positive experience with the Torarica staff. What can I say? In this world, no person is the same. She helped me get it sorted out and called me back to let me know that I was in luck, as there was an opening. Thank goodness, because after this delightful breakfast, my taste buds have entered a whole new world. 👽 Tangelo restaurant is part of the Torarica group. It's located on the hotel premises and is a popular hangout spot for tourists. At night, you have a great view of Surinamese party life from Tangelo's balcony. In the area, there are many other famous spots. But that's for another Story Time episode, so make sure you subscribe by entering your email address when you see that Story Time U.F.O. pop up on your screen.🛸🛸You are always welcome to become a member of my Story Time tribe.💓Anyway when I got the good news that my reservation was successful I did everything I could to make it on time. I still ended up being 8 minutes late, but in chill Suriname, my 8 minutes late is an hour early. Having a hectic life, I value time, especially if it's mine. If I give you a minute of my life, you should be happy. Behind the scenes, there might be hundreds of people who are craving a second of my attention. Fine, I'll crawl into my humble personality again and put the crown aside for a minute while writing to you. That's why I like to teach the people around me to value time. You never know how much of it you have left. So while I'm kicking, I'm making the best of it. I get to do my social work, the projects I love, create, be there for my people, wear my crown, live a life without glasses, and so much more with proper time management. My rule is simple: if you've wasted it, you'll have to give it back to those who needed my time more. I also like to multitask. I had a couple of important meetings today. And I managed to incorporate them into a relaxing vibe. That way, even a bad workday doesn't seem like a bad workday. I don't enjoy calling them bad working days. I see them as experiences; for me, waking up each day is already a blessing. Self-love has taught me to practice gratitude in this way, and the rest has automatically followed. 💅💅 I have been through enough in my life and learned even more from others to know that even the moments that seem bad can be a blessing in disguise. We might not realize it yet, but it's all in the game of life indeed. And since I believe in God, I trust the process and pray for guidance. 📿📿 That prayer is accompanied by a daily dose of gratitude, regardless of the struggles I may face. And yet, here I am, in a place many said would never be possible. Writing stories that have been read on all continents of the world. A girl from a Dutch-speaking country starts English Story Time at Tangelo in Paramaribo, an article accompanied by a complex philosophical introduction. 😚 They have AI now to write stories and blog posts. But one thing AI can't fake is a personality, or maybe it can? Meh, I like getting creative anyway!

Before we embark on this breakfast foodie adventure at Tangelo, I close my eyes, and my wish for you is that you may be happy and at peace. See, I do keep you in my warm thoughts!😎😘😜 Moving on to this delicious breakfast Etagere. Torarica, hear me o,ut. You know I'm blunt, if you've ever seen my content! Besides the Instagram ones, if you do more breakfasts like this, you will see more of my face! I don't know how yet, but we are going to make it happen! All I am asking for is more breakfast Etagere's por favor!😓 I am even willing to take this negotiation to a native Sranang Tongo level ( local Surinamese tongue). Seriously, guys, if they reintroduce this, please do it! I have never finished so much food in one hit before without my stomach wanting to betray me! The food was so great that I just couldn't stop eating. I made a video about my breakfast Etagere at Tangelo for you guys. Excuse me while I gather my emotions to want more. If you bring back this breakfast, Torarica, I'll forgive all the other things.👀 I am conflicted because at Toraric, they just buy me over with the food. Last time it was the Black Forest cake, and this time it's the healthy but excellent breakfast éclairs 😠ðŸ˜. Does anyone have a tissue to wipe away my foodie tears of joy? It was rainy weather, but that didn't bother me. I gave the experience a 9 out of 10 in the video that I made. But now that I think about it, Tangelo deserved that 10 out of 10 for such a good breakfast and service. But I am holding onto that one point unless I get more breakfast deals like this!💅💅
You know I'm a coffee lover! I even brought myself some coffee from the Dominican Republic back home. Tangelo's menu offers a variety of coffee options. I chose Bailey's coffee, and Stew, who joined me for this breakfast adventure, ordered the Affogato coffee. Without him knowing it, it had a shot of his favorite drink. Amaretto, a serving of ice cream, and some brewed coffee. A combination that worked well. The Bailey's coffee was also delicious! The taste of the coffee mixed well with Bailey's. There were so many things on the breakfast Etagere that it felt like a feast was going on. The waiter did explain everything included in the breakfast Etagere. However, when she appeared, I was a bit too late with filming. I might not get all the breakfast item names right. But I got pictures, and I recommend trying this out on your travels through Suriname.
I was so excited to see it. Over the past couple of years, I have come to appreciate Salmon and incorporate it into my diet as often as possible for its numerous health benefits. I got so excited that I forgot to add the sour cream on top. Although the waiter did mention it in the beginning. Ahh, well, it was so good that I have no regrets. Salmonalmon was soft to chew, and I could easily take a bite from it. It was served on bread; I don't know what kind of bread it was. I forgot 😋. It happens when you're focusing more on the food.
The meal also included Greek yogurt with sweet walnuts, pancakes with cherry jam, a fruit bowl, egg salad, cheese, chicken liver, ham, lettuce, microgreens, and chia seeds. It was all just a deliciously healthy combination that went down without problems. And I say that because I was the first to finish my breakfast. It has been a long time since I had so much to eat in one sitting. I savored this breakfast as if it were a delightful treat.

The waffles weren't too sweet and were well-balanced with the cherry jam and the cherries. The chicken sliders had an excellent seasoning. It tasted like a spicy, sweet chicken burger. The bread didn't sit heavy on my stomach, and eating all those microgreens made me feel energized for the day. They have a lot of other meal options at Tangelo. You can have a sneak peek at their menu in the video that I made. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed having breakfast at the Etagere at Tangelo in Paramaribo. If the service is good, I don't mind leaving a tip. This time, the tip was for a wonderful breakfast experience. Times are tough in Suriname, with inflation on the rise. Please tip the waiters. After all, this was the best breakfast I have experienced in Suriname to date. Don't forget to subscribe until next time, right here on Story Time.
