I tried wood seal carving!

Hold on to your space seats, because the story time U.F.O. is back at it again, zapping fresh stories straight from the mothership into your inbox! 🛸 If you’ve been following my blog or my ShachemLieuw YouTube channel for a while, you probably already know I’ve been deep-diving into learning Mandarin and exploring more about my Chinese heritage. Well, my latest mission involved signing up for a wood seal carving class, and I liked it so much that I’ve officially decided to purchase a wood seal carving kit and turn this into a permanent hobby! 🧰✍️ Fun plot twist: we didn't actually work with real wood. We got to practice on erasers! But it was still super fun learning all the traditional carving techniques. (For those wondering, the Chinese carving knife used for this is called an intou or bidao —often referred to as an iron pen or a graver!) "Shachem Lieuw animated writing for Story Time Productions"

Greetings, Earthlings and curious space travelers! Shachem Lieuw here, broadcasting live from the mothership of Story Time Productions.

If you thought our last interstellar pitstop was wild, wait until you catch our latest coordinates. We strapped ourselves into the earthly land-cruiser, fired up the hyperdrive, and took another epic road trip—this time across the majestic Jules Wijdenbosch Bridge.

(Seriously, if you haven’t seen the vlog attached to this post yet, pause right here and check out that jaw-dropping view of the bridge crossing over into Commewijne. It’s enough to make even a seasoned galaxy-hopper drop their jaw!)

Pitstop Protocol: Milk, Tea, and... Lotso?! 🧋🧸💎

Once we touched down in Meerzorg, our scanners picked up a high-energy frequency of pure comfort: a local Chinese milk and tea hotspot. Naturally, protocol required an immediate investigation.

Not only did they serve up ice-cold, refreshing milk tea, but they also featured a cozy indoor dining room guarded by none other than a giant Lotso bear! Because nothing says "cozy earthly lounge vibe" quite like a massive, fluffy pink bear staring into your soul while you sip your boba.

And as if stellar drinks and giant plush toys weren't enough, this place is a double-agent operation—they also sell sparkling jewelry. Yes, Earthlings. You can sip your tea, hang out with a giant bear, and upgrade your planetary bling all in one go. Efficiency at its finest!
