🚀 Space Transmission: Return to Lucky Garden 🪐

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll know Lucky Garden—located on the Indira Gandhiweg in Suriname, not far from HHS (Henry Hassankhan Middelbare School)—isn't a new feature in our space transmissions. But it has been quite a long time since my last touchdown there.

Change happens over time, but witnessing that evolution after a long period of withdrawal can be entirely impressive.

🍜 The Alien Landing: Upgrades at Lucky Garden

I stepped through the sliding doors like a hungry alien 🛸, and I was genuinely shocked to discover a brand-new bubble tea section that also serves an array of desserts and ice creams!

Here is what went down during this mission:

• The Main Course: I secured a plate of their classic Hong Kong tjauwmin. (Let's be real: Chinese food in Suriname just hits different and is wildly addictive—you simply can’t find food like that anywhere else in the galaxy! My friends abroad always joke about me smuggling them tjauwmin and nasi once I finally get the breathing room for those long-promised vacations.) 🧋🍜

• The Cosmic Drink: I had to try their watermelon milk tea with boba. They also offer flavors like matcha and honeydew, but watermelon was the last one standing by the time I arrived. I ordered a small cup just in case it wasn't my vibe, but after one sip, my alien antennas tingled with absolute delight. It did not disappoint! 🍉🧋

• The Sweet Escape: To top it off, I ordered mochi and a strawberry cheesecake. 🍰🍡

☁️ Floating Above the Human Reality

That dessert made me float straight onto a cloud. And honestly? I needed that weightless escape.

Navigating the stressful currents of life in Suriname as an entrepreneur, social worker, project addict, and—how I like to label myself—an occasional Surinamese politician (heavy emphasis on occasional, especially if you're an OG reader who's been here since I was 17 or 18 years old!) comes with its unique burdens. Trying to survive earthly life with alien skills is no joke.

I actually filmed a vlog documenting all the wonderful upgrades at Lucky Garden. But life isn't always smooth flight paths; we can't control every circumstance. Self-love teaches us to accept the moment, no matter how stressful it might get.

So, I choose to float like a feather made of light—like a pair of angel wings—attached to everything yet attached to nothing. It's an ancient philosophy I've carried in my soul since my consciousness first activated through this human body.

🛸 Inside the Story Time Dome

Between juggling courses, studies, various positions, and staring down a never-ending giant pile of tasks, it's easy to get overwhelmed. Life is short, but life is also simple. People just love to make it complicated. 🧠💨

I remind myself of these philosophies, treasury items that I carry and cast out into the universe, before returning right back to this spaceship. Here, I can share a glimpse of the enigmatic puzzle that shapes me, publishing yet another Story Time episode from a tropical country on the coast of South America—Suriname, a Caribbean nation rich with a diverse tapestry of world cultures.

I am acutely aware that my alien existence could not have manifested in this world if my ancestors hadn't channeled their circumstances, roots, and drive to a place most of the world doesn't even know exists. It has truly become our ultimate homebase.

Here inside the Story Time dome, I crawl out of my Peter Parker syndrome avatar and transform into a creative universal being. Layer by layer—through writing code, UX design, crafting stories, vlogging, and building entire worlds—I’ve built this sanctuary. And stepping back to look at it all, I am deeply proud of the universe I've constructed. 🌌
