A Gladiator's Feast: Rico's Foodtruck

A Gladiator's Feast: Rico's Foodtruck Hello fellow foodies! Welcome back to another culinary adventure. πŸ˜πŸ˜€This time, our food hunt takes us to Rico's A Gladiator Foodtruck , located at Wilhelminastraat 40 in Paramaribo. Rico's serves up a delicious array of burgers, shoarmas, and wraps. πŸ” We paid them a visit on a typically hot Paramaribo night, and my friend Dev-Lin was our official taste-tester for the evening. He got to try their cheeseburger and, after we finished filming, he couldn't stop joking about how Rico's was going to "take all his money." Giving it a high-praise rating of 11 out of 10, Dev-Lin's wallet surrendered as his stomach vowed to try every single item on their menu.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… One thing to keep in mind is that Rico's isn't open every day. So, before you head over, be sure to check their Facebook page for their current opening hours. Don't drool too much while watching our yummy food adventure. πŸ˜‹πŸ€€Have fun, and until...

Olive Garden in Panama

                             Story Time:

My first time trying Olive Garden at Tocumen International airport in Panama.

" Shachem Lieuw enjoying pina colada and chocolate cake at Olive Garden in Tocumen airport Panama"

Hello my dearest Story Time readers from around the world, how have you been.  I am excited to share another story with you about my adventure at the Tocumen international airport in Panama. I have been busy running my empire doing Queen things. Especially since I am already back in Suriname and that crown has a lot of catching up to do. Now being Queen isn't always easy, wearing that crown can be heavy. But if you don't have the courage to hold your next straight despite facing challenges you aren't worth it. Self-love helps a lot with finding your worth. Check out my self-love articles if you are interested in finding out more about that. While I was journeying the Tocumen airport, I came across an Olive Garden. I had often heard about these, but I have never been to one. I rushed over back to find my fellow Surinamese Youth Delegate that had joined me on my journey to Panama and convinced her to go and try some Olive Garden with me.

If you are taking a stroll through Panama airport ( I recommend you do it, my curiosity sometimes gets the best of me. So I was in super explorer mode while wandering through the entire airport multiple times. Not by choice in most cases, but as I always say sometimes the universe knows what it is doing!) you can't miss Olive Garden, it gets quite busy throughout the entire day.  The glowing Olive Garden sign will attract your attention. We found a seat, remember my tips on things you should know when you are at the Tocumen International airport in Panama? If you don't know any Spanish, start making use of that free airport wifi, and remember Google is your friend. Use that translate app and thank the Gods you were blessed with some benefits of modern-day technology. It took us a while to figure out where the electric socket is, but the waiters helped us figure it out. They might not know any English but I found my interaction with most of the people working at the Tocumen International airport Panama to be friendly. They will certainly try to help you if they can. Sometimes that means that even they will pull up Google Translate on their phones. In my case, I didn't have much difficulty with my broken-down Spanish. The journey was certainly an eye-opener that my Spanish needs some brushing up. Despite the many compliments I received from the People in Panama and the Dominican Republic haha. I guess those years taking Spanish classes at the Venezuelan Institute for culture and cooperation in Suriname paid off.  Just in case you are wondering, it's right under your seat. They installed electric sockets on the benches. You might need to step out of your seat and take a look right under you to spot it easier.

" Olive Garden Menu at the Tocumen International airport Panama"

It was still a relief to receive a menu in English. That at least made ordering a lot easier. We decided to have a drink and dessert here and then try some fried food from another place. That's for the next Story Time, so make sure you don't resist that beam coming from our U.F.O. as you subscribe to the Story Time tribe. You never know what otherworldly adventures I can take you, love. πŸ’“πŸ˜˜πŸ˜‰ But I don't blame you if you are new here. I decided to order a Pina Colada, because why not? You guys know I have to taste a Pina Colada everywhere I go! For dessert, their Mousse cake spoke to my inner sweet tooth.  Of course, that meant that I could not resist the temptation.

I have to admit that the Pina Colada surprised me, it was like exploring the same drink from a different perspective. It was different, but thrilling to get to know a Pina Colada like this.  Most Pina Colada drinks I have tasted ( Have I tasted them everywhere I went!) lean more on the coconut side. This one had a stronger pineapple taste with a light blend of coconut. It was refreshing good and different. But this was the kind of difference that I enjoyed.  I would certainly recommend trying it. The chocolate mouse was sweet and not bad. But I didn't finish it or get the chance to finish it. That's how sweet it was, now that is saying a lot for a cake and chocolate lover like me. I hope you get to try It for yourself as you get to go on your own adventures. What did you think of the Olive Garden at Tocumen International airport in Panama? Lots of love is what I am sending you guys and until the next time that I get to share my adventures with you.
