The Evolution of the Pen: Battles, Bricks, and New Horizons
The Evolution of the Pen: Battles, Bricks, and New Horizons
Happy late New Year and a prosperous Chinese New Year to all of you! 🧧✨
I’ve been quiet lately, but don't mistake silence for inactivity. I’ve been deep in the trenches, working tirelessly behind the scenes. I’ve been diving headfirst into technology, learning, and unlearning, all to bring an evolved version of Story Time Productions to the world.
The start of this year has been a series of battles—some won, some lost, but all necessary. It’s been a raw mix of the good and the ugly. While building my company here in Suriname, I’ve faced challenges that would make most people fold. I dealt with a client who refused to pay for services rendered, went as far as breaking into my home, and attempted to drag my company’s name through the mud on social media.
But life has a funny way of balancing the scales. That same individual was recently arrested in connection with 500 kilos of cocaine. While they chose a path of destruction, I chose to keep laying bricks for my vision. Despite the slander and the stress, I thrived. I kept moving forward because I refused to let the darkness of others dim my light.
Milestones & Mindsets
Amongst the chaos, there have been beautiful victories:
HSK 1 Certified: I successfully finished my first Mandarin course at the Confucius Institute here in Suriname. Learning a language so deeply rooted in discipline has been a grounding experience.
Continuous Growth: I am more committed than ever to my personal evolution. I’m an imperfect human, but I am one who constantly desires to grow.
I am incredibly grateful for the circle of people who stood by me during these rough patches. Your support is the fuel that keeps the engine running when the road gets rocky.
A Secret Revolution: AI in Suriname
I’m finally ready to let you in on a little secret. I am currently working on implementing AI solutions specifically for the construction and repair industry in Suriname. This isn't just a "tech project." This product has the potential to transform our local industry by:
Sparing time and reducing costs for hard-working contractors.
Protecting company tools and assets through intelligent tracking and management.
If this becomes the success I know it can be, I hope to set a gold standard for industries across the Caribbean. We are building the future, one line of code and one brick at a time.
The Pen Will Never Die
My schedule is hectic, and life still finds ways to get in the way, but I love this blog. I love being able to share these adventures with you—the raw look, the unfiltered truth.
In this life, you either push through the pain or accept defeat and wait for death. I’ve chosen to push. The "death of my pen" will remain a fable; even if I am erased from this earth one day, these Story Time episodes will document who I am and what I stood for. They will outlive me.
Stay tuned. I’ll be posting stories about my journey learning Mandarin and several Story Time episodes that have been sitting collecting dust, before finally being shared with the world.
Wish me luck, guys. Subscribe to keep updated on the madness and the magic.
