             Bakaaboto resort in tropical Suriname



Hello my dearest Story Time friends from around the world, I am back with another adventure. This time I am taking you to Bakaaboto resort 🏊🌊in the tropical rainforest of Suriname. This resort is located in Sipaliwini before you reach Atjonie. If you want to visit a beautiful resort in Sipaliwini where you get to experience the unique river rapids that our amazon jungle has to offer, Bakabooto resort is a good option. You could easily do the trip in a day.  They also offer houses for rent, if you have an interest in camping out here. Charcoal is sold on the resort, so you can imagine the amount of BBQ fires that have been lit up at Bakaaboto resort. If it's the rainy season I don't recommend going in a small car. The road you have to bend in to reach the resort isn't asphalted like the main road leading all the way to Atjonie. If you are coming from Paramaribo and you see a sign that says " Weg naar Bakaaboto" (road to Bakaaboto) that's where you turn left and you keep driving until you reach the Duwatra Medical center. Next to that medical center, there is a road that reaches Bakaaboto resort. I had other matters to attend to first, so I passed the medical resort and the school. At a short distance from the Duwatra medical center, you will reach the river when the road ends. But this Story Time episode is about my adventure at Bakaaboto resort. We were only going to be staying for a short while at this Surinamese resort so we didn't book a camp. After parking the car and paying our fees to enter the place we made it to the river with our Icebox and music. The view of the river is breathtaking. My country Suriname is indeed beautiful. Here I fall in love with nature, the people, the food, and the love we share with one another.💓😍 The sound of the river rapids brings peace to the mind. You can just forget about everything else when you are here. There are rules that the resort upholds to protect its environment. Upon entering the resort you will have to pay a deposit and then you get a piece of paper with all the rules. If you manage to respect those rules, you will get your deposit back once you leave the resort. Nothing beats sitting in a river in the middle of the Amazon rainforest on a rock while letting the water massage you and enjoying the scenery around you. These are the moments that make my country feel like paradise, and once again I am reminded why we are called the beating heart of the Amazon rainforest. Can you imagine how awesome the view must be during sunset or sunrise? I have been to Bakaaboto before, but it's been a few years. This country that I live in is so big, I haven't even seen all the places we have. Often times it takes me a long time before I get to revisit a location. But I am glad that I came back to Baakaboto. I have no regrets and look forward to many more adventures with my friends.We brought our own food and snacks for the trip and made the best out of it in the middle of nature. These experiences are necessary for the mind, body, and soul. It reminds us that we are alive, and a part of a larger being. I made a vlog of my travel adventure for you guys to enjoy.  Green Awareness Expo At Torarica Hola mi amigos welcome back to a new Story Time adventure! There is a vibrant city in the beating heart of the Amazon rainforest! This city is rich with multi-ethnic culture and flavorful food. Of course, I am talking about Paramaribo. Living in the Amazon Rainforest, we're surrounded by greenery. But these parts of the Amazon Rainforest haven't been unaffected by global warming. The recent droughts where multiple rivers and creeks were empty is an example.  Pizza Dinner At Ettore's Welcome back to another Story Time foodie adventure in tropical Paramaribo. On the coast of South America, the rainy season has returned. A relief after witnessing the rivers go dry in Suriname.😤 On this particular night, I remember the rain pouring all night. That's how I knew that the rainy season was about to begin. My friends visited me and we went on an unexpected food adventure! Since we were all craving Pizza, we decided to go to Ettore's Pizza. It's the authentic Italian Pizza restaurant located on the property of Hotel Courtyard by Marriott in Paramaribo.  When we walked in, it stopped pouring rain. I took that as a sign from the Gods that we were about to be blessed with some warm and delicious food. Despite the rainy weather, many people were still seated at the restaurants in the backyard of Courtyard by Marriott in Paramaribo. A hostess seated us and we received the menu in our hand.    Storytime with Donovan Dongo, Dongo Brothers selected  The Dongo brothers holding the Surinamese flag in front of the  W.W.E performance center in America. Today I have some good news for the people of Suriname. I know I am a bit late with this story, but what can I say. I have been having problems with my Internet provider for a while now.  If you live in Suriname, you probably can relate. But on with Storytime, today we are going to talk about the Dongo brothers.  These guys have proven that dreams do come true, with a lot of hard work and effort.  The World Wrestling Entertainment (W.W.E) has selected Donovan and Leandro Dongo to represent Suriname. They made it past their last tryouts and were selected out of 30.000 applicants. Lunch At Hotel Torarica

 Lunch At Hotel Torarica Hello friends, as you noticed, the Story Time U.F.O. hasn't taken off from Torarica yet! When we finished checking in at Royal Torarica we were hungry! It's good that we were only a short walk from Torarica. Through the backyard of Royal Torarica, we found our way into the restaurant of Hotel Torarica. We sat in their dining room and ordered food from their menu. In my vlog, you will see the food items and prices listed on Hotel Torarica's menu. I had some chicken with corn. My plate was filled with greens and even had a chicken sate included. It was delicious! But my favorite had to be the truffle wedges! If you are visiting Hotel Torarica, I'd definitely recommend trying it! They are topped with parmesan cheese. A simple but buttery and flavorful dish. Stew ordered a fish dish that came with watermelon. It was relaxing to have dinner in the backyard of Torarica. We could hear the birds chirping and some birds even landed on our tables. But k
