Ditch the Cashpoint: Why Foreigners Should Skip the Cashpoint ATMs in Suriname

Ditch the Cashpoint: Why Foreigners Should Skip the Cashpoint ATMs in Suriname (By Shachem Lieuw, Story Time Productions) Hey there, fellow travelers. Shachem here, and let me tell you, I've been bursting to share this with you for ages. Finally, the stars aligned, and I have a moment to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard, as it were). Lately, I've been seeing an increasing number of comments on social media from visitors like yourselves complaining about problems using their Mastercards and Visa cards in Suriname. The struggles are real, and I hear you. The truth is, while we're making progress, international Mastercards and Visas aren't accepted everywhere in this beautiful country. You'll find some high-end hotels and restaurants catering to tourists will gladly swipe your card. But don't expect the same level of acceptance when you're exploring smaller businesses, local markets, or venturing outside the main tourist hubs. It's not a universal...

"Shachem Lieuw in Tian You Latour"

Hello, my dearest Story Time friends from around the world! 🌎💓 I am back with a new Story Time episode right here in Suriname, the beating heart of the Amazon rainforest. As I said, I have many adventures to share with you. I haven't even shared half of the content I collected yet. Outside of blogging, I live quite a hectic life in tropical Suriname. It is what it is when you wear the crown the way I do.👑♕♛ In today's Story Time, I'm taking you on another Boba adventure. The milk tea trend has swept over Suriname for a long time. I've written about other Boba locations in Suriname before. Make sure you subscribe to my Story Time blog when you see that Story Time U.F.O. pop-up on your screen. 👽👾That way, you'll be the first to get my adventures zapped to your inbox.📧📬 One of the most popular milk tea shops in Suriname is Tian You. Their locations are popping up everywhere. As you can notice from my other blog articles. Latour is a popular food and snack spot in Suriname. The entire street is essentially lined with popular food stands, restaurants, stores, snack stalls, and BBQ stands, among other establishments. It doesn't matter what you're craving; you're most likely to find something to eat throughout the day and late at night in this part of the country.😋🍲🥘🥫 If you're a traveling foodie in Suriname, I recommend visiting the area and trying the local food, street food, and the Surinamese version of junk food. It's okay, if you burn off the calories after your vacation, we won't tell anyone.😅😂😎😜

"Tian You Panda mascot"
The Tian You Store in Latour is nice and clean. To our luck, when we walked inside, it wasn't so busy. They had a cute, giant inflatable panda balloon with their logo on it. I am guessing the Tian You Panda is their mascot. When we walked in, we gave the lady at the counter our order and waited for a short while. The staff was nice and friendly. I like the fact that you have a nice view of the busy street life of Latour through the glass window.

" White rabbit and Tiramisu milk tea with boba and jelly from Tian You Latour"

We ordered a frozen white rabbit milkshake with boba and some jelly. This is one of Tian You's most popular flavors. I loved it, it was better than the one I tasted from Tian You Kwarasan. We also got a Tiramisu milkshake with boba. That one was delicious, I'd recommend it to coffee lovers!😆🥴  I made a video of my visit to Tian You Latour for you guys. You can find their boba milk tea menu in the video. I hope you enjoy it. Until next time, right here at Story Time. 💖
