A Gladiator's Feast: Rico's Foodtruck

A Gladiator's Feast: Rico's Foodtruck Hello fellow foodies! Welcome back to another culinary adventure. πŸ˜πŸ˜€This time, our food hunt takes us to Rico's A Gladiator Foodtruck , located at Wilhelminastraat 40 in Paramaribo. Rico's serves up a delicious array of burgers, shoarmas, and wraps. πŸ” We paid them a visit on a typically hot Paramaribo night, and my friend Dev-Lin was our official taste-tester for the evening. He got to try their cheeseburger and, after we finished filming, he couldn't stop joking about how Rico's was going to "take all his money." Giving it a high-praise rating of 11 out of 10, Dev-Lin's wallet surrendered as his stomach vowed to try every single item on their menu.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜… One thing to keep in mind is that Rico's isn't open every day. So, before you head over, be sure to check their Facebook page for their current opening hours. Don't drool too much while watching our yummy food adventure. πŸ˜‹πŸ€€Have fun, and until...

Christmas Fair At Onafhankelijkheidsplein In Paramaribo

Christmas Fair At Onafhankelijkheidsplein In Paramaribo

"Christmas ornaments made from grass at Onafhankelijkheid plein in Paramaribo"

Hello Story Time friends, it's my pleasure to be writing to you again from the warm tropics of the island of Suriname. In the new year, I visited the Christmas Fair at Onafhankelongoingplein, which was still ongoing. Onafhankelijkheidsplein means independence square. In the heart of Paramaribo, right across the Presidential Palace, you'll find our Surinamese Independence Square. Each year a Christmas tree is placed on the Onafhankelijkheidsplein to spread the holiday cheer. This year they went all out with the Christmas Decorations! When I drove by the new year barely started. But that didn't stop the crowds from gathering. I was no different and had to get a few shots to share with you guys. I asked someone else to take pictures for me but none of them came out well.πŸ‘€πŸ˜“πŸ˜‚ They do say that not everyone has the eye for it. Once I took out my Nikon D3300 people probably thought that I was a photographer working there.πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ That happens often whenever I pull out my filming equipment. But in the spirit of the New Year, I ended up taking some shots of the families spending time at the fair. You could clearly see that the transformation from the park to the many fairgrounds' mile was filled with kids' faces. There were reindeer, snowmen, and giant Christmas ornaments all around. Although at the word or the word in English. πŸ˜‚ So you'll hear me saying 'Christmas balls' a lot in my vlog. Switching languages, English and all the others, confuses me. If you are a bilingual person like me, you'll understand the struggle. Horses were giving the children a ride around Onafhankelijkheidsplein. Some stands were selling food and there was even a merry-go-round! My inner child could only imagine how much fun the kids were having going on the carousel. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this vlog I made for you. This is what a random New Year's night in Suriname looks like. If you are new to my blog, don't forget to subscribe!
