The Silent Weight: When the Heart Hurts More Than the Body

The Silent Weight: When the Heart Hurts More Than the Body   "The pain of the heart is stronger than the pain of the body." We live in a world that is obsessed with physical healing. We have gyms for our muscles, medicine for our fevers, and bandages for our scrapes. But what do we do when the injury is invisible? As an entrepreneur and someone who spends a lot of time roaming the quiet corners of Suriname, I’ve realized that you can walk ten miles through the bush and feel less exhausted than you do after one hour of heartbreak or betrayal. The body heals with time, but the heart? The heart requires a different kind of bravery. The Invisible Ache A broken bone is a solid thing, A heavy cast, a winter’s sting. The blood will clot, the skin will mend, A physical break we can comprehend. But the heart is a chamber of liquid fire, A tangled web of old desire. When it bruises, there is no purple stain, Just a hollow echo, a silent rain. You can run from the cold, you can hide f...

Valentine doughnuts

Story Time: Valentine doughnuts from Wake&Bake and food from Twins Pizza&Burgers

" Valentine themed doughnuts from Wake&Bake"

Hello guys, how was your Valentine's Day? In this story time, I want to talk about mine.

First of all, there is this baking shop that I discovered a long time ago. I am going to do a separate blog post on them and the different desserts that I ordered, so don't forget to hop onto the Story Time U.F.O. if you want to stay updated on my new blog posts.

I am in love with their desserts. This time, I placed an order for Valentine's Day and got these cute-looking desserts. They were almost too cute to eat, but I have no regrets—it was worth every bite. They were topped with a chocolate ganache, and some even had a delicious, creamy Nutella filling.

Even the dough had a unique taste. I had to try and control myself not to eat all of it, so I ended up sharing it with my loved ones. The most spoiled among them is probably my little brother. He's technically not allowed to snack yet, but somehow even he couldn't resist the freshly baked charm that Wake & Bake desserts provide.

Later that night, we decided to head back to Paramaribo towards the famous Wilhelminastraat. Right across the street from KokoBana in a small building, you will find Twins Pizza & Burgers!

When you enter the cute spot, their menu is immediately visible. But you have to be lucky not to find yourself in a line. The scent of freshly baked pizza is overwhelming in the air. We decided to go with the chicken cheese mozzarella pizza, and no, I am not getting paid for this advertisement! I'm just trying to share more about my country with you all. What I liked most about the pizza was the cheese; I loved seeing that cheese pull.

But I don't want to bore you with my writing, so I might as well share a video that I made with you all. Let's just say this month your queen is rocking some awesome vibes, and she is going to share more of that on this blog. Okay, now I kind of regret deleting all the old posts a bit because it would be awesome to see the before and after.

If you actually go through my blog, it's starting to look like a book—a collection of stories. Yes, this is a subliminal teaser for my new upcoming book promo! Have fun, enjoy the video, and until the next story! I can't wait to see where all these adventures will lead us in the future.
