 Story Time: Halloween vibes at the Coffee box and food from Lucky Twins in Suriname

But in today's Story Time, my dearest readers from around the world we are going on a food adventure.  Don't be shy and hit that share button to help your fellow foodie friends enjoy the delight of these stories. I love being able to share my journey with you guys through my writing. Even if it's just a very small part of my diverse life that I am sharing it is still thrilling to think about how long after I am gone people will probably read my blog. This is a part of my digital legacy that I get to leave behind for the world. That's a delightful experience for the writer living inside of me. My friend and I had a girls' day, in case you don't know this Queen has a lot of friends back home that spoil her rotten haha.😝😜😛💖 The love that I share with the people around me is as authentic as the bonding moments that we create. It is so important to have at least a few people around you that can understand you. They make enjoying these earthly pleasures so special. We decided to head to the coffee box in Suriname first because she was craving Bailey's Belgian chocolate iced coffee. After that, we would be heading to Lucky Twins for our dinner. When we arrived at the Coffee box in Paramaribo you could clearly notice that they were already in the Halloween mood. I love their decoration, especially since my birthday is on the 29th of October. Everyone that knows me, knows I am a Halloween freak. Let's say I am not scared of the trick or the treat 😋😊😉😆😅. I saw the deserts that they had on display, it looked so good we had to try them. The cakes at the Coffee box are a bit pricy compared to other sweet spots in Suriname. You can't blame them, they aren't really skimping out on the ingredients. I decided to go for the passion fruit cheesecake. I have become hooked to those ever since I first tasted the dessert in Rotterdam. Of course, the taste wasn't the same. The passion fruit cheesecake from the Coffee box had a gelatin topping that easily fell off. On a positive note, I can say that their staff is friendly, attentive and provides quality service. My friend wanted to taste the chocolate cake, and of course, I ended up motivating her to do it!😈

The Chocolate cake looks like a scary treat. A fitting dessert to snack on when you are going out eating in Suriname this Halloween.

Because I wanted to save space for dinner from Lucky Twins I brought the cheesecake from home along with me. Clearly, it needs some work. As usual, accept the positive feedback with lots of love Coffee box.  That gelatin thing on top of the passion fruit is not quite a delightful combination. 

The Frozen Bailey's Belgian chocolate ice coffee is worth every sip. Especially with this hot tropical Surinamese sun. Before you knew it we were on our way to Lucky Twins, which is about a 10-minute drive from The Coffee box.  We ordered some spicy garlic shrimp. You could tell that it was well-seasoned. While waiting you get to enjoy the interior of Lucky Twins. The owner has good taste. They made a gorgeous fish aquarium tank in the middle of the dining room. You know how I love to make friends with the fish, even if I sometimes can't help eating them!😔😜😛

While I was waiting on my food I was having some deep intelligent conversations with the fish. Man have they seen some things.😋😂 We also ordered some fried noodles (Tjauwmin) with chicken. Those fried noodles did not disappoint! They went well with the spicy jumbo garlic shrimp. Our luck, it wasn't really busy during the time of the day that we went. So in the privacy of the dining room, we enjoyed our meal and conversation as the attentive staff waited on us.
