Story Time: BBQ chicken from Hesdy's Latour

" Small portion of BBQ chicken (BBQ kipbout en patat) and fries from Hesdy's Latour"

Hello, my dearest Story Time friends from around the world. Today, we're going on a foodie adventure! This time, I'm taking you to another famous foodie destination in Suriname. Hesdy's BBQ has been renowned for its food in the Surinamese community for many years. They have a few locations, but for this Story Time food episode, we are going to Hesdy's Latour! In the tropical and warm country of Suriname, located on the South American coast, lies the city of Paramaribo.
Latour is a popular food area located on the outskirts of the capital. As I mentioned earlier, this area has numerous food places and is a must-visit for foodies traveling through Suriname. Hesdy's is popular for a reason. They are known for their good food, and the scent coming from their BBQ grills is enough to lure you to their neat-looking establishment. If you want to eat there, they have also created an upstairs open-air container area for guests to enjoy their food while taking in the view of Latour, a few meters higher. I went for take-out food. We ordered a significant portion of their famous BBQ chicken with fries, or as we say in Dutch, BBQ kipbout met patat.😍😋I also got a smaller portion for my little brother. Corn on the cob is one of my favorite things. I saw that they had it on the menu, and I had never ordered corn from Hesdy's before. Now I regret not ordering it before. The corn is placed on the grill, and after it warms up, it is finished with a slab of butter. Man, oh man, they don't spare that butter. I think the butter and the corn are even grilled together.

It tasted good, and I was surprised at how buttery it was. The butter wasn't overbearing, and I managed to get a lot of it stuck on my face. We took our food to go, and man, was it a delightful treat. I love how crispy their fries were.🍟 I have to admit, when it comes to the fries, Hesdy has that magic touch. I've created a vlog of my food adventure at Hesdy's Latour for you to enjoy.
