Driving to Hotel Boutique Peperpot

Story Time: Driving to Hotel Boutique Peperpot across the Wijdenbosch bridge in Commewijne

"Shachem Lieuw at Boutique Hotel Peperpot in Commewijne"

Commewijne, the time has come for me to write about you again! I have so much history with you, a history that might be forgotten once my time on this earth passes. But one thing that my soul will take along is the memories and the lessons that Commewijne has taught me. I have many childhood memories of spending time with my grandparents who lived in Jagust. My uncles and aunts, many of them, have passed away now. I just wish they could see some of the good things I did in life. But sometimes we can't always get what we want. I take satisfaction in the fact that they believed in me! That was enough to get me crawling until I became the woman with glasses that I am today. It took me a while to find my voice, but if they could hear it today, I know they'd be proud of me!
Yes, Commewijne and I have history; that's why I love seeing this place develop. Throughout the years, this district has has developed and ganumerous many shops, restatourist attractionsonsctionss, and hotels. I recommend that you visit Commewijne during your travels in Suriname. Many European tourists, primarily those from the Netherlands, enjoy bicycling through the district. Commewijn was once home to many plantations. My little brother had to go on a delivery, and that's how I spent the day with him, going on a drive to Hotel Boutique Pepperpot.
Sometimes I discover new places in unusual ways as the day takes me along on an adventure.
Most of those adventures end up being converted into Story Time episodes for you guys. When you drive across the Wijdenbosch brug (brug means 'bridge' in Dutch), you'll come across the giant Murties (Statues representing the incarnation forms of Hindu Gods) under the bridge.. Hinduism is practiced by many citizens of Suriname. I like looking at the statues of Durga, Hanuman, Shiva, Parvati, and the other gods whenever I drive by. Another thing you'll notice from the view is the shipwreck in the Suriname River. The wreck was from a German ship that was in the Suriname River during World War 2. The Dutch authorities then issued an order to capture the crew and seize the ship. Back then, we were still a colony of the Netherlands. The German crew was captured but made sure to sink the boat called the Goslar to prevent it from falling into the hands of the Dutch. Suriname has made significant contributions to the world in many ways throughout its history. That's something I look forward to addressing more in my other Story Time episodes. Right now, let's return the attention to our road trip. A road trip can be relaxing. This road trip led me to Hotel Boutique Peperpot. It was once a plantation and features restored colonial houses. The place looks great, but then it started to rain just as I wanted to take a picture for you guys. ☔That's why I had to squinch my eyes.😂😃Right now it's rainy season in Suriname. Our tropical weather around this time tends to have mood swings. It can be very sunny one moment and raining heavily the next. This time, I'm taking you guys for a drive to show you what Commewijne is like. Next time, we'timeexlore Hotel Boutique Peperpot and see if it's worth the hype. If you don't want to miss that adventure, do jump onboard the Story Time U.F.O. 🛸👽👾the moment it pops on your screen! If you happen to miss it, no worries.😊 T here is aanother follow-upoption in the sidebar.
Join me on this relaxing drive 🚚 and take a peek at Suriname, the diverse country known as the beating heart 💓 of the Amazon rainforest. You'll be surprised by the diversity of this part of South America. As I took this ride, I'm reminded of how quickly the moments pass in life. A part of self-love is to appreciateppreciate th regardless ofrdless of the circumstances. Simply because life is a gift. That's why I live in the stories while loving life. Just like it says on my T-shirt. If you're interested in any of my Story Time merchandise, check out my store. Enjoy the video, and until next time.
