Hosting Our First Tour In The Village Foetoenakaba

Hosting Our First Tour In Foetoenakaba Welcome back my Story Time friends! I am excited to take you guys on another travel adventure. We're going to Sipaliwini again. I instantly miss the place whenever I sit behind my laptop and create content about the villages. Sipaliwini is the largest and greenest district in Suriname. When I was 15 years old I visited Sipaliwini for the first time and arrived in Foetoenakaba. It was the first time I visited a maroon village in this part of the country. Years later, life brought me back to Foetoenakaba. We headed there a day earlier before our guests arrived. It was the first tour we organized and the first time my boat would have passengers. A special moment, that has become a fond memory. Getting there was hectic. It involved a lot of preparations and we left late from the city. Thanks to our friends in Paramaribo and Sipaliwini we arrived to catch the last boat at Atjonie. The boat was loaded with barrels since this boat was initially me

 Valen's Meubels Furniture Sale

" A curly haired girl shopping for furniture"

Finally! I have returned! Your Surinamese penpal is back and hopes to run a marathon on her blog. 😂 I turned 32 years old a few days ago. Don't worry, I already know what feeling old is like. It's nothing new for me. Even a few years ago, I felt old. Don't believe me? Check out my previous blogger notes and keep an eye out for my upcoming blogger note! All, I am saying is that some tea will be spilled. 🫖🍵 This time I won't bore you with how much of a hassle it is to escape my busy life. I just feel relieved and relaxed to finally have some time to share more Story Time episodes with you. For years this blog has been an outlet for me.
It's also a platform where I share parts of my life, the adventures, and the people I encounter.
At least the ones that won't leave you traumatized.😂 I'll leave the trauma for the creative stories I share here. But today I want to catch up on some stories that have yet to be told and shared with the world. In this Story Time Productions episode, I am taking you guys shopping. We went to a client who lived on some sandy road that looked like it was a part of a savannah. I want to be authentic with how I display my country to the world. So even these roads you'll see in my videos. You'll experience the culture, the people, and some of their vulnerable moments. 😂My friends have gotten used to the idea that I capture more pictures of their moments than mine. If I had to show you mine, there would be more drama moments with plot twists straight from a horror novel.👿👽👾 Relax, just a writer her sneaky way to say happy Halloween, a few days too late. How did you guys celebrate? Before I post my experience, I don't mind seeing some fun and cool costumes in the comment section. What can I say, it's a lot of work to keep an empire together. Now that I am older, I miss the simpler days. But life leaves no time to sit around and be a sore. We work hard and in between I make some stops to show you guys what makes Suriname unique and special in my heart. Many friends and old schoolmates are leaving the country. Some have already left for years. But I chose to stay because I saw something different. Although I enjoy roaming, my country is always in my heart. All I want to do is build something for myself, where I can be at peace with nature. Gasp, nostalgia for my hippie days is hitting me strong.
Back to the topic, when we returned from our client, I noticed a sign that said Valen's Meubels had a furniture sale. I've passed their building on the Indira Gandhiweg countless times but have never been inside. I decided to check out what Valen's Meubels had to offer. I'll give them a plus point for the huge parking space. When you're on a busy road like the Indira Gandhiweg having a good parking space is a luxury for a business. In the district of Wanica, the Indira Gandhiweg is a popular road, home to many stores. It's also the road that leads to Lelydorp and the Johan Adolf Pengel Airport. If you're visiting Suriname, that's the airport where you'll arrive. Inside Valen's Meubels, I noticed that they not only sold beds and couches but also sold water dispensers, TVs, washing machines, and other household appliances. All of the items in their store are on sale! I also saw refrigerators and freezers in their display room. I made a vlog of when we visited the furniture sale at Valen's Meubels. You can check out the items they have on sale along with their prices. Are you seeking a travel adventure? Do you want to shop around the world?
