Blogger Notes: We lead to inspire
Hello my dearest Story Time readers from around the world, how have you been? Today I am writing you a blogger note. This episode is actually inspired by specific events I experienced in my life. Ooh, boy brings me back to my old blogging days. When I started this blog in 2010. 😓 Can you believe that it has been 13 years already? Gasp I am getting old, but persistence does pay off. I am glad to inspire many Surinamese writers to pick up their talents. Previously writing with monetization would sound like a crazy illusion. But now with technology anything is possible. I don't want to fool anyone and make them think it's easy. When I started blogging I didn't do it to get Adsense approved or to earn money. Back then I didn't even know what Adsense was! I knew I loved writing, I had a passion for it since I was a little girl. My blog became the place where I could escape. I would write about my adventures and experiences. There were a lot of poems on it, man what a time my teenage years were. Gasp realizes that I am the blogging millennial that grew into a 30-year-old blogger! Then the thing happened when I told my old followers about it on my blog where I kind of accidentally became famous all over my country. Hence I invented my pen name! I love writing a lot, so I kept practicing. For me, each article, story, and game plot is a form of practicing my art. If you are passionate about something, you keep on going. You don't give up, you don't look at the numbers. You do it because you adore it and the rest you will figure out on the way. In those 13 years, I had to figure out a lot of stuff on my own. But if it's something that drives you, you won't mind putting the time, effort, love, and passion into it. I remember how many times I switched up themes, domains, etc just to find the right feel. With Story Time I feel so much more comfortable as it is authentic to the core value of my blog. Stories not only inspire us, but they also connect us. There is a reason why they keep reminding us that Rome wasn't built in one day.😝 I'll give you some handy tips if you want to do something just start today. Don't procrastinate, because life is short. If you feel like it's your craft, you have to be willing to put thousands of hours into it. Vincent Van Gogh created all those masterpieces but didn't even earn what they are worth now in his lifetime. He was actually financially supported by his brother during his painting career. You get the point, I don't need to examine the picture any closer by giving an art class. Putting this much work and effort into my skill made me realize that I am not only a dreamer but the dreamer that can do it. For me this blog is a passion, that's why I didn't mind exploring different looks just to find the right fit. After all here at the Story Time tribe, I want you to feel right at home. I enjoy inspiring others because I know how troubling life can be. During these times we need more empathy among each other. But the reality can be cold, we can't control others' actions. What we can control is the effect that we have on the world around us. That means being open to dealing with your own personal insecurities. Even the best Opera singers in the world have practiced their notes for hundreds of hours just to improve their skills. Making sure to swoon the audience at each performance.
Life can be an experience, sometimes you have to take risks and have faith in yourself no matter how difficult the odds may seem. Just do me a favor and don't take any stupid risks. Try to take calculated risks, with a couple of good contingency plans. Just to make sure that you have a safe landing. You never know when you might be sliding down a slippery road. Those moments are a part of life too. Or as someone I know would love to say it's all in the game of life.😝 Instead of turning our souls over to tempting negativity, we could create. Creating can be done in different ways, let's say you aren't a writer. Maybe you are better at cooking and can create wonderful dishes. But that's what you love to do. Nobody is made the same, when it comes to finding your passion and the skills that drive you it's really a matter of being able to listen to your heart. What would you love to do for the rest of your life? Most geniuses are insanely dedicated to their craft. In my case, the expression of my craft helped/helps keep my sanity in balance. This will be a part of the legacy I leave behind. My words are to be consumed by whoever stumbled upon them on the internet, until the end of time, or at least until a new civilization that doesn't use the internet pops up on the planet in the future. 😋 You never know, but before that make sure you jump on my Story Time U.F.O. by subscribing when you see it pop up on your screen. You could also subscribe through the sidebar menu. Before I leave I want to share one more thing with you, it doesn't matter how many times you failed on the way keep going because you just don't know who you might be inspiring! Until next time right here on Story Time.
