Pool day at Jacana Amazon Wellness Resort in Suriname

Hello, my dearest Story Time friends from around the world!😁😀 I'm back with another adventure for you all. Today's adventure takes us to Jacana Amazon Wellness Resort in Suriname.👾👽🛸 This hotel is renowned for its distinctive and stunning swimming pool.🏊 I certainly had fun splashing around in their pool. They had a deal where an adult pays $7.50 for a midweek pool pass. My friend and I went for some relaxation. We got there early in the morning. Since I primarily plan to film or capture content for you, I prefer to visit Hotels and Restaurants in Suriname during the hours when they are less crowded. 🏨 By practicing on my blog for you, I get to learn a lot. As my blog grows, I strive to continually upgrade as I learn along the way. My new three-point lighting system has arrived, and I'm eager to test it out and review it for you.🪔🔦💡 But unfortunately, they didn't have any electric outlets available at Jacana Amazon Wellness Resort in Suriname. Or at least not by the pool area. 🙄The other downside to this is that if you're planning to relax for a full day by the pool, you have to keep your phone battery percentage in account.📱🔌 But of course, I got to test my new lighting system after visiting Jacana Resort. Due to the limited parking spaces, it is evident that this hotel is primarily intended for foreign visitors. If you're planning to travel to Suriname soon and are looking for a hotel with an entertaining swimming pool, Jacana Amazon Wellness Resort is the place to stay. This hotel is located at 35 Commewijne Street. If you visit before 6pm, they only have the pool menu available.🥘🍲 I have to admit that, considering the hotel's beauty, I expected a more extensive pool menu. Most of the things that I wanted to order or try out weren't available. Or else you guys know, I would have gone for a Pina Colada!🍸🥥

Despite that, I still had a lot of fun in the swimming pool.🩱 In no time, my inner child was happily exploring all corners of the swimming pool. Even though I am 30 years old now, it felt like I was an energetic 5-year-old at a waterpark. I climbed up and down the pool multiple times to reach the hidden pools at the base of the waterfall. It was a good exercise, good enough to burn off that Chocolate milkshake and Mudslide cocktail that we ordered. The Mudslide was a chocolatey goodness 🍫 with alcohol. But the alcohol wasn't overpowering and balanced well with the chocolate. 

From the main menu, we ordered the shrimp alfredo pasta.🥘😋 My friend who was going to help me shoot the video wanted to share a plate. We learned our lesson from ordering too much food at the Coffee Box. Turns out she was right! As it's slowly becoming a habit on my Story Time blog, I made a video of my Visit to Jacana Amazon Wellness Resort for you guys to watch. 🎥I was actually excited to share some of my friend's work with you guys. She is a professional with years of experience in the photography business 📷📸behind her. Just as we were about to set up everything, I realized I had forgotten my power bank, and the place didn't have any nearby electric plugs available for us near the pool. That's a pity, especially if you want to keep guests staying longer. In the Horeca, it's no secret that the longer the guest stays, the more he or she pays!💰💸 But maybe I shouldn't even bring these things to their attention.😂😉😋 At least that way you can spare some damage to your wallet or credit card. Jacana Amazon Wellness Resort offers different payment forms. You can pay with your credit card if you're vacationing in Suriname, but a 5% fee is applied by them. If you're a tourist visiting Suriname, I'd suggest withdrawing cash at a Mastercard or Visa ATM.💳 The cost can slowly add up. I'm only pointing this out because many of my traveling friends 🛫🛬 have mentioned experiencing this during their travels in Suriname. They also accept cash💰 payments and cards💳 from local Surinamese bank accounts. When we arrived, I took in the view of the place. I must admit that when it comes to recreating a natural-themed swimming pool, they did a great job. The trees 🌴 and beautiful flowers 💮 contribute to creating a warm and relaxing tropical 🌞 atmosphere. After changing into our bathing suits🩱, we ended up ordering our first cocktails. I chose a mudslide cocktail, and my friend opted for a chocolate milkshake. When we arrived, the weather was warm and sunny, and a cold drink was needed to cool off. 😅The mudslide cocktail tasted good.

Later in the day, it started raining, but I didn't let that stop my fun. I also ordered a rainbow cocktail, and it tasted so good that I certainly recommend trying it out on your visit to Jacana Amazon Wellness Resort in Suriname. The Rainbow cocktail was a sweet and sour fruity mix. I do love that they have a swim-up bar available in the pool. You can also order your drinks and food from there.
