Losing Everything

Losing Everything 🌌 I've lost many things in life! I've lost money, I lost time, and I've had investments stolen by people I thought I could trust. I was conned by faces who advertised more "faith" than the church's Sunday paper. But out of all the things I've lost, how come losing you hurts the most? I've walked through the gates of hell; there, I faced many demons. Some became my friends, and some became my foes. The latter group was often slaughtered by my sword of wit. Yet none of them came close to touching my heart, let alone the burn marks my footsteps left in the grass. To some, I’m an angel performing miracles. To others, I rule the lower kingdom, serving them the justice of their own actions—making them swallow their arrogance until their egos explode. It takes only seconds to destroy their carefully built worlds. But with you? I am neither demon nor angel. I am an alien. 👽 My heart, untouchable by worldly desires, is drowning in the pa...

Creek Adventure In Suriname

"Shachem Lieuw next to a creek near the Johan Adolf Pengel Airport in Suriname"

Fawaka, my dearest Story Time friends from around the world?😁 Fawaka means how are you doing in Sranang Tongo, a local Taki Taki language in Suriname. I'm back with another travel adventure! This time, the Story Time U.F.O. is zapping you to a place near Johan Adolf Pengel Airport.🛸 Suriname has numerous creeks in that area. Many of them have become the homes of multiple resorts.🩱🏊 But today, I'm taking you on a tour of a private property. It has been very hot in the tropical Caribbean and South American country of Suriname lately.😅 Living in a country that's covered in more than 85 percent jungle, Surinamese people often seek relief from the heat in creeks like this.  Of course, some people prefer the water from the rivers. 🌊If you've traveled to Suriname, you've probably heard about the popular resorts that offer swimming passes to take a dip in a cool creek.⛱ Although the sun might be beaming straight through the leaves of our tropical trees, nature still provides a cooling relief! During vacation time ( August-September), it does get warm in this country. That's when the Surinamese creeks get crowded with tourists and locals. 🚌Especially since these places aren't too far from the city.🚦 You'll easily notice it by the traffic on the Indira Gandhi Way.📹 I made a video of this creek adventure in Suriname to share with you guys. We managed to find some fish in the creek. 🐠Don't worry, it was a catch-and-release scenario. I hope you enjoy my vlog, and don't forget to subscribe to Story Time U.F.O. 💓. I appreciate all the support on the blog. Thank you for reading, and I can't wait to zap my next adventure straight into your inbox!
