Breakfast At Hotel Frederiksdorp In Commewijne
It's the last day of the year, and I finally get to finish this blog article about my breakfast experience at Hotel Frederiksdorp in Commewijne. But before we get to that, I want to thank all of my readers and viewers for the support you've given my Story Time channels in 2023. We're counting down the hours and I look forward to sharing many more adventures and stories with you guys in 2024. It's been a wild year, that I can't crop into a few words. But what I am grateful for is the way my blog has evolved. Throughout the years we've gone through a couple of interesting changes on Story Time productions. This year I've realized that change will always be a part of the journey. 💓I hope that in 2024 I get more time to wrap up my Story Time episodes. As you guys know we visited Frederiksdorp a couple of months ago. 😅Time goes by so fast and the people in my life always demand a lot of it from me. At the end of the day, I'm only left with so much time for myself and the things that I want to do. But I've been working hard to change that in my life. Practicing self-love has improved my boundaries skills. Hence I've posted more articles this year! For you that might seem like no big deal. But for me, it's a huge victory! When we all have our own battles to fight, why not celebrate the small wins? I'm someone who likes to focus on the positive things in life. There and in my prayers to my God, I find my strength and determination to go on.😁 But let's talk about breakfast at Hotel Frederiksdorp first. I loved the place, at night and in the morning it has an amazing view. Although my cousins complained about not being able to sleep. But I think that the history tour we took, got a bit to their heads.😂😏Because they couldn't sleep, they were the first to wake me up. We got up long before breakfast started. I went to take a shower and brush my teeth. But oh boy does the water there stink! So if you're sleeping over, bring your own water along just in case. I recommend at least two big bottles of water. You'll thank me later. The one bottle of complimentary water that they give you won't aid you in making coffee.😂 When we got freshened up we walked around to get some shots for my vlog. So keep in mind that my assisting filming and photography crew for this Story Time episode were a bunch of kids. But they did a great job helping their aunty explore and capture these shots for first-timers on the job!😀😆
We patiently waited for breakfast close by the house we stayed at. Because we thought that breakfast was going to be served on the patio. But we were wrong, it was served by the pool deck. So we were late for breakfast despite being excited to get there first. When we took a seat at the buffet-styled breakfast my family and I were kind of disappointed in the food options! My cousin even joked at me and said that if I wanted to eat bread with sardines we could have gone home and he'd cook it for me a lot cheaper. 😂 The buffet consisted of a lot of simple Surinamese dishes. They even added watered-down syrup to the table. My fellow Surinamese people will understand why I found it absurd to stay at a hotel and wake up to bread with eggs or sardines.😓😒 With all the coconut trees they have on the plantation, you'd think they'd at least add some coconut water.😥 I understand if they want to make a cheap breakfast to cut costs. But there are so many other options! Like waffles or pancakes. At least they had cake and lots of fruit! They also had coffee available. You guys bet that was my number one go-to as a coffee lover. The place itself is gorgeous and the ambiance of the pier adds as a bonus to the hotel. It's only the small things that they can improve. But other than that we had an adventurous stay at Frederiksdorp Resort. If you are a Visa card holder and you're planning on coming to this plantation hotel, come with cash! The resort does not accept any Visa cards but Mastercard credit card holders will have no problems as long as the machine works. That's why when you're traveling through Suriname, I always recommend carrying cash instead. There are too many factors that play a role when it comes to digitally paying in Suriname. Just traveling with a credit card is a gamble! I mention this because a lot of tourists have been complaining about payment options in Suriname lately. It's something I wanted to bring up in my posts multiple times in the last few years. But let's say I haven't gotten to finishing those stories yet. I guess you'll just have to wait until next year for me to finally publish them.😂😁 So make sure you subscribe if you want to receive my exclusive stories straight into your inbox. You guys be safe out there and enjoy the fireworks this year.🎆🎇 But for now, have fun watching this vlog I made about my breakfast horror story at Hotel Frederiksdorp In Suriname. 👀😂 Are you planning on traveling soon?
