Breakfast At Hotel Frederiksdorp In Commewijne

Breakfast At Hotel Frederiksdorp In Commewijne

" Shachem Lieuw and her cousin on the pool deck of Hotel Frederiksdorp in Suriname"

It's the last day of the year, and I finally get to finish this blog article about my breakfast experience at Hotel Frederiksdorp in Commewijne. However, before we proceed, I would like to thank all my readers and viewers for the support you've provided to my Story Time channels in 2023. We're counting down the hours, and I look forward to sharing many more adventures and stories with you guys in 2024. It's been a wild year that I can't condense into a few words. But what I am grateful for is the way my blog has evolved. Throughout the years, we've gone through a couple of interesting changes at Story Time Productions. This year, I've come to realize that change will always be a part of the journey. 💓I hope that in 2024, I get more Time to wrap up my Story Time episodes. As you know, we visited Frederiksdorp a couple of Times ago. 😅 Time goes by so fast, and the people in my life always demand a lot from me. At the end of the day, I'm only left with Time for myself and the things that I want to do. But I've been working hard to change that in my life. Practicing self-love has helped me develop stronger boundary skills. Hence, I've posted more articles this year! For you, that might seem like no big deal. But for me, it's a huge victory! When we all have our own battles to fight, why not celebrate the small wins? I'm someone who tends to focus on the positive aspects of life. There and in my prayers to my God, I find my strength and determination to go on.😁 But let's talk about breakfast at Hotel Frederiksdorp first. I loved the place, at night and in the morning, it has a fantastic view. Although my cousins complained about not being able to sleep. But I think that the history tour we took got a bit to their heads. 😂😏 Because they couldn't sleep, they were the first to wake me up. We got up long before breakfast started. I went to take a shower and brush my teeth. But oh boy, does the water there stink! So if you're sleeping over, bring your own water along just in case. I recommend at least two big bottles of water. You'll thank me later. The one complimentary bottle of water they give you won't help you make coffee.😂 After freshening up, we walked around to take some shots for my vlog. Keep in mind that the crew I assisted with filming and photography for this Story Time episode consisted of a group of kids. But they did a great job helping their aunt explore and capture these shots for first-timers on the job!😀😆

"Shachem Lieuw and her cousin at Hotel Plantage Frederiksdorp in Commewijne"

We patiently waited for breakfast, which was conveniently located near the house where we stayed. We thought breakfast would be served on the patio. However, we were wrong; it was served from the pool deck. So, we were late for breakfast, despite being excited to arrive first. My family and I took a seat at the buffet-style breakfast, and we were somewhat disappointed with the food options! My cousin even joked with me and said that if I wanted to eat bread with sardines, we could have gone home and he'd have cooked it for me a lot cheaper. 😂 The buffet consisted of a lot of simple Surinamese dishes. They even added watered-down syrup to the table. My fellow Surinamese people will understand why I found it absurd to stay at a hotel and wake up to bread with eggs or sardines.😓😒 With all the coconut trees they have on the plantation, you'd think they'd at least add some coconut water.😥 I understand if they want to make a cheap breakfast to cut costs. But there are so many other options! Like waffles or pancakes. At least they had cake and lots of fruit! They also had coffee available. You guys bet that was my number one go-to as a coffee lover. The place itself is gorgeous, and the ambiance of the pier adds as a bonus to the hotel. It's only the small things that they can improve. However, aside from that, we had an adventurous stay at Frederiksdorp Resort. If you're a Visa cardholder and plan to visit this plantation hotel, please come prepared with cash. The resort does not accept Visa cards, but Mastercard credit card holders will have no problems as long as the machine is operational. That's why when you're traveling through Suriname, I always recommend carrying cash instead. There are numerous factors that influence digital payment options in Suriname. Just traveling with a credit card is a gamble! I mention this because many tourists have been complaining about payment options in Suriname lately. It's something I wanted to bring up in my posts multiple times in the last few years. But let's say I haven't finished those stories yet. I guess you'll just have to wait until next year for me to finally publish them.😂😁 So, make sure to subscribe if you want to receive my exclusive stories straight to your inbox. You guys, be safe out there and enjoy the fireworks this year.🎆🎇 But for now, have fun watching this vlog I made about my breakfast horror story at Hotel Frederiksdorp in Suriname. 👀😂 Are you planning on traveling soon?
