I tried wood seal carving!

  Hold on to your space seats, because the story time U.F.O. is back at it again, zapping fresh stories straight from the mothership into your inbox! 🛸 If you’ve been following my blog or my ShachemLieuw YouTube channel for a while, you probably already know I’ve been deep-diving into learning Mandarin and exploring more about my Chinese heritage. Well, my latest mission involved signing up for a wood seal carving class, and I liked it so much that I’ve officially decided to purchase a wood seal carving kit and turn this into a permanent hobby! 🧰✍️ Fun plot twist: we didn't actually work with real wood. We got to practice on erasers! But it was still super fun learning all the traditional carving techniques. (For those wondering, the Chinese carving knife used for this is called an intou or bidao —often referred to as an iron pen or a graver!) Hello, friends! Welcome back to a new Story Time travel adventure! We continue the Torarica Hotel series in this episode. Torarica is one of the most popular hotels in Suriname. Their brand is well-established in the hospitality and foodservice (Horeca) world of Suriname. When you stay at one of the Torarica group's hotels, you can use the jacuzzi and sauna facility at the central Torarica hotel. You must book a time slot in advance to guarantee your jacuzzi visit. For guests, using the jacuzzi and sauna is free. Recently, Torarica has been offering numerous deals to locals. I'd suggest following the Torarica group's page to stay informed about upcoming bargains! They used their jacuzzi and sauna before. A friend of mine would often drag me to lovely places like this during my younger years. However, since then, a Jacuzzi has undergone a change! Their Jacuzzi is now on the ground instead of above ground. Torarica has invested in upgrading its resorts. If you check out my earlier Story Time episode at Hotel Torarica, you'll see the difference between their swimming pool and restaurant back then and now. You can use Torarica's Jacuzzi, sauna, and swimming pool without staying in the hotel. However, I also recommend booking a sauna visit in advance. At the Torarica hotel, they offer day passes for the swimming pool. These YAN PBEs were purchased upon arrival at the hotel's front desk. In my experience, a visit to the sauna is usually cheaper when you go with a group.

So they kept calling me and texting me for prices. Gasp, this is the reason why I didn't link my contact list to my social media. If I had everyone I knew on social media, it would be a storm! Yet I wouldn't have it any other way! I manage to do what I do in Suriname while also entertaining my foreign audience. They gave me the picture above this text. In the picture, you'll find all the relevant info regarding the jacuzzi, sauna, massages, and cabana prices.
